Game of Life
This event has been postponed until the fall of 2022
The Rotary Club of Kitchener-Waterloo is pleased to introduce “A GAME OF LIFE”, our youth development program that impacts every community in our Region by helping adolescents develop planning, problem-solving & life skills.
“A GAME OF LIFE” engages Youth at age of “awakening” through a Region-wide, 1-day event, partnering with Community Agencies serving Clients age 14 – 16 through educational and supportive interactions with Corporate and Business Community
Youth participating in “A GAME OF LIFE” develop planning, problem-solving & life skills while gaining some insight into the many responsibilities of young adulthood and their ability to impact life and career choices. They are encouraged to take charge of their lives by developing a plan and action steps to improve their access to and management of resources.
The key objective of “A GAME OF LIFE” is to educate youth of financial well-being and encourage ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening their financial literacy. This includes educating youth about the financial services and understand their approaches to financial planning (day-to-day money management, budgeting and longer-term money management), their plans for the future, and how they perceive their financial situations. Our aim is to develop their adaptive and positive behaviour that enables them to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life.
